SPIRITUALLY LAZY!

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”
Romans 4:20 KJV
http://bible.com/1/rom.4.20.kjv
Sometimes we struggle with sin. In fact, this is one of the main issues lots of Christians have. They still struggle with sin. As a Christian, you should not struggle with sin. But, before you become a Christian, you must get deliverance and be properly free from sin. Because if you become a Christian without getting delivered from demons, it cannot and will not work. But those that have deliverance or don't need it, they do not have to struggle with sin anymore. So if you struggle with sin that is my suggestion.
But sin isn't our only problem. Christians also struggle because they are very relaxed in the spirit. I like to call them, spiritually lazy. It's true! They are not alive in the spirit, but satan is, and is always watching for your weak moment. He then attacks us, so easily. Many of us don't go to church but call ourselves Christians. A Christian MUST go to church. Hebrews 10:25 says: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:25 KJV
http://bible.com/1/heb.10.25.kjv
Part of our spiritual laziness is not being prayerful. We don't pray as often as we should. Haven't you read 1 Peter 5:8? “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
1 Peter 5:8 KJV
http://bible.com/1/1pe.5.8.kjv
Another part of our spiritual laziness is we have too little of the Word in our spirits. We think that Christianity is just going to church. A church goer is not a Christian! Be vigilant! But a Christian must go to church!

Stop being spiritually lazy!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur...

Pondering the Bible: How to deal with anger

"Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." James 1:20 NLT http://bible.com/116/jas.1.20.nlt Let’s admit it, we all deal with anger sometimes. But some more than most. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable. This brings us to today’s question: How do you deal with anger?  Well, satan will always keep on trying to do things to make you angry. And as soon as you give in and never let it go, you have failed and satan can hold you back.  Here’s how to deal with it:  The Bible says that when you are angry you should not let it carry over to the next morning.  "And "don’t sin by letting anger control you." Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry," Ephesians 4:26 NLT http://bible.com/116/eph.4.26.nlt This means you may only be angry for some time. But I wouldn’t for long:  "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be...
