Do not ASSIST the DEVIL!

“If someone thinks he is religious yet does not bridle his tongue, and so deceives his heart, his religion is futile.”

Many of us wonder where satan gets his power from. After all, Jesus has all power in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth. That’s what the Bible tells me: “Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
Matthew 28:18 NET

In verse 26 of James chapter 1, we can see that our tongues are the issue. This is where satan gets his power from. Which is why he encourages negative talk. Maybe your legs are tired, and you say “My legs are killing me”. Now satan can use your own words against you. So when you start having leg ulcer don’t blame the devil, but your mouth. We also say things like, “If I tell my boss, he’ll kill me!”. He certainly will. And it’s your mouth’s fault. You’ve now given satan permission to use your boss to kill you. Watch your tongue - carefully!

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display J...

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...

Humble Is Best!

Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133  |  NIV   We need to let God's Word rule our lives, directing our footsteps on our journey through life. God is our Director leading us-even of the path LOOKS right, it doesn't mean it IS right. God knows best so we shouldn't be no-it-alls. Humble your self!
