As God Wills...

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” - Mark 8:34 Confusing,eh? Once you get to know the verse and you are guided by God's Spirit it will start to make sense. When Jesus used the term 'cross' what did He mean? When Jesus said cross He meant responsibilities. Once you are a Christian you have big responsibilities but they all sum up below: Preach The Gospel. A Christian has power. Power to resist the Devil and his agents. When problems come, such as finance, food, etc, think of these as tests. These tests, if you pass, promote you to a new position in God and life. The Devil is jealous of how much you have in Christ, and he wants to take it away. He cannot take it away while you are sturdy, so he sends distractions. If you are overtaken by these distractions, you have weakened and the Devil can snatch the life away from you. (SEE Matthew 13). And once

The Lonkage between Thoughts and Peace

"When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with Him" - Proverbs 16:7 Peace. That thing that everyone wants in the world. The only way to have peace is in Jesus Christ. Wishing for world peace is just a waste of time. "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You all whose thoughts are fixed on You!" - Isaiah 26:3 When we fix our thoughts on Jesus, God will give us peace. But not the way the people in the world give it. "I do not give my peace as the world gives" - John 14:27. World Peace would only give us troubles and plus, it will never come. Have your own peace. Be in Christ. His peace would last you forever. Fix your thoughts on God and keep Him in all you do!

Hoping for...?

"For I know the plans that I have for you declares the Lord. They are plans to give you hope and a good future" - Jeremiah 29:11 Hope is one of the fruits of the spirits and is very well linked to faith. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see" Hoping for something is faith. Believing that it will happen. David in the Bible had hope that he would kill Goliath. He knew would God's help that his hope would give him strength. An Oxford Dictionary definition of hope is: feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen: he looked through her belongings in the hope of coming across some information [COUNT NOUN]: I had high hopes of making the Olympic team Hope is having faith and believing for something. Hope, unkowningly, gives us strength to keep on pursuing what we hope for. Hope keeps us strong when we want it to. When it seems hopeless, God’s messages about our fut

Building Others can help You!

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.  1 Thessalonians 5:11  Focus on: Building Others Up Can Help You  Sometimes we think that when we encourage others and praise them it's a bit to far on the love scale. Who would have thought that this was one of the ways you could be built up? When we encourage one another we are lifting each other and helping one another out of our pain, Sometimes suffering with someone is better than suffering alone. "If one of the parts of the body is hurt all the other parts hurt with it," - 1 Corinthians 12:26  And as soon as your pain is over you and your supporter can take the wights off and glad that you shared your problem with them. But don't share it with the wrong people!  Scripture Reference:  1 Thessalonians 5:11  1 Corinthians 12:26

Wisdom Promotes Your Focus

"Wise people are wise because they know what to do, foolish people are foolish because there wisdom deceives." Proverbs 14:8  Focus on: Wisdom promotes your focus  Wisdom is one of the key virtues that everyone needs and wants. Wisdom is very important and promotes where you put your focus. Your spiritual house needs to be built on the right area, the right things. Proverbs 14:1 says "Wisdom builds a house but foolishness brings it down" When we make wise decisions, we gain knowledge, a bit like a game. If you do the right thing, you get a point. Wisdom prevents us from the way of death. "There is a way that seems right to someone but leads to the way of death" - Proverbs 14:12  Wisdom gives us knowledge and helps us do things carefully. You may ask: "Why does Isaiah say that the wise' knowledge will be brought down?" (Isaiah 29:14)  This is what Isaiah meant:  People who are self-confident and think they know more than God,

Focus On: The New Life and Inherritance

" To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness."  - Ephesians 4:22-24 ESV    When we become a Christian, we set our focus on Jesus. There is only one true Christian. In the parable of the sower, Jesus describes who the true Christian is. The one that produces fruit. If your fruit is bad, then you are a bad tree. Same goes for a good tree. As any other job, we all have our responsibilities. Our responsibility is to plant and water our seed so that it produces good and perfect fruit! Your seed determines your attitude. If you have a bad attitude, you have a bad seed.  We can change our seed and have a second chance. But we can't or don't need to make any more mistakes! God's Spirit is with us to help us make the right choices! It helps us try our

Where Your Focus Is : Theme Of The Week

"If you have then be raised with Christ seek things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God" - Colossians 3:1 Apostle Paul is telling us where to put our focus. If your focus is on worldly things, that's where you belong. You focus is very important as it discerns what and when something happens. We as Christians should seek God first than anything else. What about the Isrealites and the golden calf? Where was there focus? On the golden calf. That means that they belonged to it, and practised the cultures that it wanted them to do. God says in Exodus 20:4 "Do not make any idols of any form that look like anything in the earth, the sky or under the earth". The focus and attention of the Isrealites was on there idol. This is why God warns us to follow His path instead of our own. What happened to the Isrealites? God punishes them for there disobedience. Sometimes, our own desires can lead to disobedience and when we disobey, God leaves u
