Confusing,eh? Once you get to know the verse and you are guided by God's Spirit it will start to make sense. When Jesus used the term 'cross' what did He mean? When Jesus said cross He meant responsibilities. Once you are a Christian you have big responsibilities but they all sum up below: Preach The Gospel. A Christian has power. Power to resist the Devil and his agents. When problems come, such as finance, food, etc, think of these as tests. These tests, if you pass, promote you to a new position in God and life. The Devil is jealous of how much you have in Christ, and he wants to take it away. He cannot take it away while you are sturdy, so he sends distractions. If you are overtaken by these distractions, you have weakened and the Devil can snatch the life away from you. (SEE Matthew 13). And once you let Jesus into you heart, you have to forget about yourself and do what he wants. Always let His will guide you. Before Jesus was crucified, he prayed to God and asked Him if there was another way. Notice that Jesus said, "But let Your will be done and not mine" (SEE Matthew 26:39). As God wills...
