Focus On: The New Life and Inherritance

"To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness." 
- Ephesians 4:22-24 ESV 
 




When we become a Christian, we set our focus on Jesus. There is only one true Christian. In the parable of the sower, Jesus describes who the true Christian is. The one that produces fruit. If your fruit is bad, then you are a bad tree. Same goes for a good tree. As any other job, we all have our responsibilities. Our responsibility is to plant and water our seed so that it produces good and perfect fruit! Your seed determines your attitude. If you have a bad attitude, you have a bad seed.  We can change our seed and have a second chance. But we can't or don't need to make any more mistakes! God's Spirit is with us to help us make the right choices! It helps us try our best! 



So: Focus on the New Life!

Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable.
