“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/1jn.5.4.kjv

BIBLE BYTE: Overcomers!

““Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” John 14:1 NLT http://bible.com/116/jhn.14.1.nlt Many of us seem to struggle with trusting in God. We know it’s the right thing to don we just don’t know how. Well, what is faith? Let’s ask Paul: “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1 NLT http://bible.com/116/heb.11.1.nlt Now, faith can only come through Jesus. We have to rely on Him, which means forgetting the problem and letting God solve it. This is how we overcome the world! “For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.” 1 John 5:4-5 NLT http://bible.com/116/1jn.5.4-5.nlt You can only overcome that problem when you believe in Jesus!
““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬ http://bible.com/116/mat.7.7.nlt
““Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬ http://bible.com/116/mat.15.28.nlt

1 Corinthians 10:13

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬ http://bible.com/116/1co.10.13.nlt

LET’S TALK: Romans 12:11-16

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.” Romans 12:11-16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rom.12.11-16.kjv What does this mean to you??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
“For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “ You must love your neighbor as yourself.”” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭NET‬‬ http://bible.com/107/gal.5.14.net

BIBLE BYTE: Good Plans

BIBLE BYTE Enjoy 😋  “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV http://bible.com/1/1co.2.9.kjv As children of God, God has so many plans for us that we just never know. His plans are always the best - if we follow them, that is. Many of us have a hard time trying to follow God’s plan and the main reason why is because flesh still rules. Flesh is your sinful emotions, your sinful mind, and your will. As a Christian, your flesh is meant to be dead, and God is meant to have taken charge of your life. Get rid of flesh!  “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 ESV http://bible.com/59/jer.29.11.esv

Q&A: Can anyone truly subdue the tongue??

“So too the tongue is a small part of the body, yet it has great pretensions. Think how small a flame sets a huge forest ablaze.” James 3:5 NET http://bible.com/107/jas.3.5.net  We need to be careful with our tongues as believers. Our tongues, as James says, are weapons of destructions and harmfulness. Until you can tame it. James describes how we have been able to put every animal and loving thing under control, apart from the tongue. “For every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and sea creature is subdued and has been subdued by humankind. But no human being can subdue the tongue; it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.” James 3:7-8 NET http://bible.com/107/jas.3.7-8.net But we can tame the tongue, as we are not ordinary human beings anymore. We are living as sons of the Most High God! We can subdue and put under control the tongue, by the Word. Everything we say should be based off the Word, and we should not curse or swear using it. Can a spring come

Let’s Talk about Malachi 3:10

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10 KJV http://bible.com/1/mal.3.10.kjv LET’S TALK:  What do you think God is saying in this verse? BIBLE BYTE: Freedom from Death

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2 KJV http://bible.com/1/rom.8.2.kjv What does it mean to be free from the the law of sin and death? Well...sin and death have no more power over us! Sin cannot rule our lives anymore, unless we let it. We no longer die, but sleep. And all those who believe sleep until Jesus comes. Let’s look at Lazarus’ example: “These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.” John 11:11 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.11.11.kjv  Lazarus slept and didn’t die because He loved Jesus, and it’s the same for us!  I hop today’s Bible Byte taught you a little more about our freedom from sin. See you in the next one! 😉

WHAT DOES TIIS MEAN TO YOU?

“He said, “You have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that although they see they may not see, and although they hear they may not understand.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭NET‬‬ http://bible.com/107/luk.8.10.net Food for thought 💭: What does this verse mean to you?

James 3: The Power of the Tongue

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/pro.18.21.kjv The power of the tongue is something that James talks about in the book of James 3. Here’s an excerpt of it:  “In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? Does a f
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/1co.3.1-3.kjv
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/1co.3.19.kjv

Bible Q&A: Is Jesus still lower than angels?

“Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.” 1 Peter 3:22 KJV http://bible.com/1/1pe.3.22.kjv Many people would argue that Jesus is lower than the angels. He was for s time, but this verse proves that things have changed. As soon as Jesus was raised to glory, the angels were made subjects to Him, which proves that Jesus is no longer subject to the angels. If you want to read about that, here you go: “Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.” Hebrews 2:7 NLT http://bible.com/116/heb.2.7.nlt  I hope this cleared some wrong knowledge that may have dwelled in your spirit. Remain blessed!
“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/psa.119.2.kjv
“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/pro.16.3.kjv

Acting Like Children...what does it mean?

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3 KJV http://bible.com/1/mat.18.3.kjv  Jesus wants us to learn from little children, but how? Let’s start with one of the many problems us humans face: bitterness. The way children handle bitterness is not the same as us adults. When children are offended, the offence and anger does not last for long. At the end of the day, unity and forgiveness is what’s there. What are children also like? The like to fight for the things they like. The Bible says, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12 KJV http://bible.com/1/mat.11.12.kjv This means those who are hungry for the Kingdom get it first. For once, let’s act like children 😉. #kingdomofgod #belikekids #dbverses2016 #matt1112 #matt183 #haveablessedday
“O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ http://bible.com/1/psa.7.1.kjv

Take Refuge

“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.” Psalms 5:11 NLT http://bible.com/116/psa.5.11.nlt What is this verse saying to you?

Earnest Prayer has Great Power

“But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.” Acts of the Apostles 12:5 NLT http://bible.com/116/act.12.5.nlt Prayer. Whenever problems arise, we do it, and we do it diligently, but then don’t do when all becomes well. But after we pray, we still worry and anxiety grows very quickly in our hearts. We worry about how this may happen, what we’ll do next etc. But, let’s learn from Peter’s example. Peter was locked in prison by King Herod Agrippa, and the Christians knew about it. But instead of working out plans to get Peter out, or fretting and worrying about him, they knew that prayer would do much greater things than any of them could do by their normal power. They knew if they prayed with pure hearts and earnestly, they would be heard by God and God would deliver Peter. Their earnest prayer proves James 5:16.  “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has gre

BLINDED BY GREED

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5 KJV http://bible.com/1/heb.13.5.kjv Many people focus on the second part of the verse instead of the first. We should not be selfish! Many of us are blinded by our greed for money and only follow Christianity for gain and profit, like Paul said: “These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.” 1 Timothy 6:5 NLT http://bible.com/116/1ti.6.5.nlt Our blindness blinds us from seeing where we are going. It fills us with pride and this is what satan likes. Let’s not be blinded, and let’s not be greedy!
