On the Lord!

“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭55:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬ http://bible.com/111/psa.55.22.niv Do we ever cast our cares on God? Cause if we did, we'd be letting God be the person who will take care of our problems instead of managing ourselves with our human wisdom and knowledge. Don't lean on your own understanding!

Q&A: How can we love?

"Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." - 1 John 4:20 Liar! If you don't love, you are a liar! Love can only come by the Holy Spirit who lives in us. Remember Galatians 5:22? Let's read it closely: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness," - Galatians 5:22 Notice how the verse says the fruit of the SPIRIT! Who is that Spirit? The HOLY SPIRIT of course! So what does this mean? It is only through God's Spirit that anyone can love! That is why a sinner cannot love. They can be 'kind', but it is not the love that lasts forever! Love can only come through the Holy Spirit which lives in you!

God CAN still you!

““Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Why do we worry? I mean, we know the facts that God is with us and everything but we still have our fears and doubts. We are invulnerable as Christians. We are still targets-serious targets and each of us has a phase we go through. A phase where God 'breaks us down' for our future or what He wants us to do. It doesn't matter what you look like- God can still use you. You don't have to put make-up on and worry about what people will think! God can always use you!

The LORD is God!

“So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭13:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬ God is the Lord! Note: For the past few days I have been doing a rushed verse. From tomorrow, I will be back to my usual.

Power in Words

24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭24‬ KJV) Our words matter greatly in our life. A source of power. God has given man has so much power that whatever he says comes to pass. This can be used for evil too. Mind your words!

Control YOUR Temper!

“Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬ http://bible.com/111/ecc.7.9.niv Control your anger! For it can be used as a stronghold against you!

When in doubt, wipe it out!

"So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your hearing by faith?" - Galatians 3:5 Faith. Faith is the most vital part of a Christian's life. And, as I said a few days ago, it can only be happen through love. Faith is when we believe God, love Him and keep His Word hidden in our hearts. To believe God is NOT always easy. Especially when under the influence of severe doubt. It is alright to ask questions about God - but to doubt him is when we...don't believe His Word anymore. We start judging him by what happens to us. DON'T! When in doubt, wipe it out!

CUNNING lies and Deceit!

4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. (‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ NIV) Paul is describing the End Time, today. We turn away from the Truth of God and turn away to lies and cunning deceit and myths. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:1 to imitate God. Jesus is God. Let's find out what's Jesus was like:  " He will not judge by what his eyes see or decide by what his ears hear," - Isaiah 11:3  Lies come from what we hear. This proves that we shouldn't always believe what people say but be  determined to find the truth.

Q&A: How do I have faith?

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ How do we have faith and diligently seek God? To have faith, we must love. God gave us a great commandment to love. Love is only shown when things ARE NOT rosy, NOT when everything is nice but hectic! When everything is rosy it is easy to love and act out God's virtues. Faith is love. It perseveres through all trials. No wonder Paul said, Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love. - 1 Corinthians 13:13 Faith brings hope and then that brings love. Meaning, faith is love! Want more proof? The Bible says that God is love. Ephesians 5:1 says to imitate God. This means that to love is to have faith! Because believing in God is basically believing in love! And that means we can have faith!

What does it mean to forgive?

32  Be kind and compassionate to one another,  forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. - Ephesians 4:32  What does urban mean to forgive? When we forgive, we don't have any last grudges or bitter offences against that person. It does not mean we should forget what they did or interact with them anymore-that's your choice. But, as Matthew 6:15 says, if you do not forgive others their sins, neither will God forgive your sins.

Thanks

11  You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12  that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O  Lord  my God, I will give thanks to you forever! - Psalm 30:11-12  Give thanks!

"Anyone can say Jesus is Lord!"

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9 NIV Many sinners do NOT believe before they confess. They just confess. This is NOT what is supposed to happen. You BELIEVE then confess! For more on this view my other post here: http://dailyverseoftheday.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/before-we-confess-it-we-must-believe-it.html . Now to the point. Did you know that anyone can say "Jesus is Lord"? Yup. Then you may be thinking what's the point of writing this? Because the belief that Jesus is Lord MUST come from your heart before someone is saved! Paul says to believe in your heart  that God raised him from the dead! Believe! Your belief must make your confession. You must declare Jesus as your Lord with belief in your heart!

Like things above...

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2 | NIV Hear that? On THINGS ABOVE. The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:7 that if we let Him, Jesus will take care of all our anxieties. He will also take care of all our problems. So what's the point of fixing your mind on things that are already being taken care of? Cheer up! Set your mind on things heavenly, pure and righteous.  "In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy." - Philippians 4:8. Set your minds on things worthy of thinking about. Like things above!

Don't be that SPIRITUAL LAZY OAF!

"Lazy people want much but get little,      but those who work hard will prosper." - Proverbs 13:4 NLT This verse does not only talk about physical laziness. Yup. There is such a thing as spiritual laziness. But what is spiritual laziness? It is when we stop listening to God. Stop doing our duties as Christians or slack in them. We then start becoming spiritually weak and lazy. But we need to be spiritually alert! 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." If we are becoming slack and weak, where will we find the strength to fight this lion? If we don't start manning up and stop being that spiritual lazy oaf, we will be destroyed as a result of our OWN ACTIONS. DON'T BE THAT SPIRITUAL LAZY OAF! Joy!

Count it all joy, my brothers,   [1] when you meet trials of various kinds, 3  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." - James 1:2-4 Consider it all joy!

Focus!

"21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." - Philippians 1:21 ESV Wow. Wow. What Paul is saying (through the  Holy Ghost) here is that his living is for Christ, and his dying is for Christ. He says that dying is for him to gain. again what? His prize. As he explains in Hebrews 12:1 to run the race. He also tells us to keep our eyes on Jesus, the Pioneer of our faith. Focus on Him! The world will send you distractions, things that you used to favour and love. Don't give in! Focus!

Hold fast to the Word of God!

"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2  and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you— unless you believed in vain. " - 1 Corinthians 15:1 Hold the Word of God. We must do this! Remember the seeds that fell by the wayside in the parable of the Sower? They were snatched away and Jesus explained that the Word is snatched away from us if we don't act upon it or put it to use. This is why Paul is telling us to HOLD FAST TO THE WORD OF GOD. Otherwise, that is what happens. The Wrd is taken away. Why? Because Satan knows the value! He knows that once you start acting and holding fast to the Word you'll be like a destruction machine in his kingdom! He doesn't want you to be like that! He wants you to also be one of the victims of his darkness. Hold fast to the Word of God!

Where shall I flee?

7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. -  Psalm 139:7-10 There is nowhere we can escape from God's presence! Remember this forever!

ALL the fullness of GOD!

"Therefore be imitators of God as You are His dear children." - Ephesians 5:1 Many people say things to "contradict" this verse. Some say: Does that mean I can create the whole world too? No! You may be thinking, what does it mean then? It means that WE HAVE THE POWER OF CHRIST. I know. You're thinking WHAT? ME, God's Power? NO! God says you are His children again in Psalms 82, "I have said...you are all children of the Most High." - Psalm 82:6. We are God's children! Now, imagine your father dies and he owned a land. You now get to INHERIT that land. As children of God, we INHERIT the righteousness of God. How do you become a child of God? Repenting and obeying Romans 9:9-10. Believing and confessing! For more on this, view my post here: http://dailyverseoftheday.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/before-we-confess-it-we-must-believe-it.html . Inheriting God's righteousness means GOD HAS MADE US RIGHTEOUS!  If we believe in Christ, we inherit Go

Fight!

16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints - Ephesians 6:16-18 Faith is important. We mist fight using the weapons God has given us!

Everything of God receives attack!

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:19‬ ‭NIV‬‬ http://bible.com/111/isa.43.19.niv God is doing a new thing this 2017! He is making ways and paths which we did not know about! He puts rivers in dry places and would like to help us. But we try to "survive". There is NO WAY we can survive this desert without God. But many people don't realise this, sometimes to late. But you will go through hardships and trials. No one survives life without hardships, especially Christians. Jesus said: "Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also." - John 15:20 NIV Did you read that? If they persecuted Jesus, they will persecute you also. So don't be surprised if your ministry or life receives attacks! Everything of

Q&A : Should I tithe?

"A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord." - Leviticus 27:30 NIV Many Christians profess against tithing. As we see in our verse, everything belongs to God. Want proof? Here: "For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it." - 1 Timothy 6:7 As everything belongs to God, so does our money. And if we call ourselves 'Christians' we believe that it is God who is the source of our money. So, if it is His, you must be able to give a tenth of it? If you can't join ends, let me tell you again: God owns everything and nothing is yours. Everything belongs to the Creator. This means that we should give back to Him a tenth of our income, because it is NOT OURS! But, pastors and preachers out there, don't take this as an opportunity to raise money for yourself. Take Paul's warning very seriously! ".... who have been robbed of the

Power of Prayer!

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2  for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3  This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, 4  who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." - 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 Many Christians usually pray for themselves. This isn't bad- we each have a different battle to fight and need to focus on it. But, as 1 Timothy 2 says, that God is pleased when we pray and thank God for all people. Reaching out to people requires you to preach AND PRAY FOR FOLLOWERS. If you are a Pastor, looking for more followers, you must START PRAYING for all people. PRAYING that they may see the glorious Truth. Why is this a big danger? "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They

1 Cor 3:16

“Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NASB‬‬ http://bible.com/100/1co.3.16.nasb We must always remember that we are God's Workmanship, so we work for HIM!

Greater Power

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Men and women today are in search of a 'greater power' than what our resources limit us too. As Romans 13:1 tells us, the Highest Power is God. There is no power greater than the Lord! So, you may be thinking, how does that apply to me? God called us His children. Where? Here: "I [God] say, ....you are all children of the Most High" - Psalm 82:6 God calls us His children and He has given us His power! If we join all these facts together, what do we get: God has given us HIS GREATER POWER! So, with Jesus, there is no need to search for more! But this power is only activated by faith, prayer and the Word of God.

Nothing like a PERFECT marriage!

“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:14‬ ‭NASB‬‬ Here, in this Bible verse, The Holy Spirit is trying to tell us to put off the desires of this world, no matter how great the temptation. If only we knew what was waiting at the end-we would take life way more seriously! There is nothing like a PERFECT marriage. A PERFECT cousin or aunty! It is only through God that they can be made ACCEPTABLE. Notice I said acceptable not perfect, because everyone has weaknesses. But Paul reminds us that God makes us strong in our weaknesses. Troubles will always be thrown out you! Storms will always try to blow you over! But if we put on Christ and His power, He fights for us. And with Christ we are always victorious!

Evil is evil!

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20 There are many people in this earth which do exactly as Isaiah 5:20 says. There are no such things are 'good' witches, 'harmless' sorcerers or 'cute' magic. Evil is evil, no matter how great the temptation is to watch it or classify it as good. Satan has many mediums of getting his message into people. He uses animation, television and even Christian shows! Just because a show is classified as 'Christian' doesn't mean it truly is. Satan puts his signs everywhere. Examples are dragons, magic, fairies, pirates, witches or wizards. It doesn't matter how 'good' it may seem. Evil is evil!

Before we confess It, we must believe It!

It is written, ‘I believed therefore I have spoken,’ Since we have the same Spirit of faith, we believe and therefore speak”  -  2 Corinthians 4:13 When we believe, we confess. Confessing God's Word is vital in a Christian's life. Using it, we can overcome the enemy. God's Word is the source and foundation of a true Christian's life. When we memorise it and apply it to our lives, it gives us power to destroy Satan and his evil works. Faith, as we can see here, can only be activated once we confess God's Word and live by it. Believing comes before confessing. Before we confess It, we must believe It!

Believe and act accordingly!

“Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid, just believe,” – Mark 5:36 When we plan things, we should put faith and believe that it will happen. Proverbs 16:3 says that only plans with the Lord in them succeed. God loves faith and once you believe that He will do what He will do, your faith will reward you abundantly. This year is our year of promise! The Holy Spirit revealed that to us and that is what this year is! Anything that God has promised to you will be fulfilled this year, IF YOU BELIEVE. Believing causes things to happen. Even small, mustard seed faith can move mountains. Faith is when you overcome fear and lies and doubt! You put outside the odds and start thinking about God! You believe with faith in what you want Him to do. But first you must make sure that it goes inline with God's Will. You must play your part which is too believe and say things that go inline with it. Focus on portions of scripture that go with what you want from God. Your
