Hold fast to the Word of God!

"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. " - 1 Corinthians 15:1

Hold the Word of God. We must do this! Remember the seeds that fell by the wayside in the parable of the Sower? They were snatched away and Jesus explained that the Word is snatched away from us if we don't act upon it or put it to use. This is why Paul is telling us to HOLD FAST TO THE WORD OF GOD. Otherwise, that is what happens. The Wrd is taken away. Why? Because Satan knows the value! He knows that once you start acting and holding fast to the Word you'll be like a destruction machine in his kingdom! He doesn't want you to be like that! He wants you to also be one of the victims of his darkness. Hold fast to the Word of God!

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133  |  NIV   We need to let God's Word rule our lives, directing our footsteps on our journey through life. God is our Director leading us-even of the path LOOKS right, it doesn't mean it IS right. God knows best so we shouldn't be no-it-alls. Humble your self!
