Supplication, in every situation.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" - Philippians 4:6 NIV

Whenever we have problems, we always expect answers as soon as we pray. But we don't realise that God always answers our prayers at the right time. We should not be stressing out over a job sack even though we've prayed for a new job. God always does it at the right time. Who knows? That job sack might have been Jesus trying to prevent you from an accident. No money in the bank? It may be God preserving your money in case robbers attack your bank. What does petition mean? Let's see, I just looked it up and it means, in this case, supplication. And that means asking earnestly and humbly. Don't stop praying when you don't get an answer! Keep praying in supplication!

Humble Is Best!

Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133  |  NIV   We need to let God's Word rule our lives, directing our footsteps on our journey through life. God is our Director leading us-even of the path LOOKS right, it doesn't mean it IS right. God knows best so we shouldn't be no-it-alls. Humble your self!

Put on the armour! The Armour! The Armour! The Armour of God!

' Order the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle! Harness the horses, and mount up you horsemen! Stand forth with your helmets , polish the spears, put on the armour!  - Jeremiah 46: 3-4 This verse talk about a battle. Not a battle of the physical (the seen) but a battle of the spiritual (the unseen). We need to stand up in the faith! We must defend ourselves from the enemy! "Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:8. What do we need to do to shield us from the enemy?
