Be like God - BE MERCIFUL!

I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live - Psalm 116:1-2 We should have mercy on others, as God had mercy on us. We should turn our ears to theirs and build them up, too. Be like God- be merciful!

Make your Faith stable!

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ NIV) We need to be steadfast. The Bible says in Ephesians 6 to wear the full armour of God, and that included the Shoes of the Readiness of the Gospel of Peace. We must be steadfast in our work and let nothing move us. Myths, stories and lies WILL come but if our faith is stable enough we will prevent them and 'take up our Shield'. Satan will shoot darts at you and try to make your faith unstable by questioning parts of the Bible you may not understand. In this situation, you should pray for guidance from God and ask a Pastor for answers. Make YOUR FAITH STABLE!

God lives in US!

"4  Even though I walk      through the darkest valley, [ a ] I will fear no evil,      for you are with me; your rod and your staff,      they comfort me" - Psalm 23:4 NIV What is that dark valley you have in your life? Always remember that God is with you. He has given you power to destroy all the works of Satan and his demons. We don't need to fear evil! God is our protector, He lives in us, His rod and staff protects us! He lives in us to please Him! And, because He lives in us, He gives us power to cast out evil spirits and defeat the mediums of the devil. Don't you see? We can now be at right with God! We can be one with Him! In the Old Testament, God could only help us out at points because of sin. But now that we are redeemed He gives us power to trample on every serpent and scorpion! You just need to command them out of your life! Just say: "In the Name of Jesus, I command every serpent, scorpion or source of evil in my life, family or ministry out!

ONLY through God!

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ NIV)  It is only through Jesus Christ that we can do all this. With man's natural ability, this is impossible. The best we can do is FAKE love. Love that only lasts a short while. For true and everlasting love, it is Jesus we need. If we allow Him to use us and work through us, the love for Him will generate a love for one another. Christ is the author of love. John said:  "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." - John 15:13 NIV  Anybody can pretend to live. It is only through our Lord God that we can love or have any of the fruit of the Spirit! It is through God!

Sneaky Mediums

20 Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. 21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭20‬ NIV)  Loren to advice. Now remember - this doesn't men any advice. With any advice you are given, make sure you check it up with God's Word to see if it is correct. Satan also gives advice. He works through mediums you may not think would be harmless.  He may come through friends, your teacher, or even a cousin of relative! They might give you a sweet or a biscuit, advise a video game or something else. Once you receive it, the process begins. Satan now looks for ways to initiate you. He now has power over you because you have taken that 'gift'. How can you prevent this? Whenever you receive gifts from strangers or people who are not in your family, say no. If a church member or relative gives you something, pray for it before you use it, play it or eat it. Pray for

Whizzing Back: Promise 3 : Selfish Confessors

Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. - James 1:3 Now, this is a promise God fulfils always. When our faith is tested, it creates perseverance. This perseverance is what we can use daily in our daily trials - life won't be easy all the time and God gives us the faith, grace and patience to survive the trial. But we also have power to let the trial control us! We do that by confessing negative things. For example, your in a financial bind. You've prayed and you're waiting for the money. But then you stay stuff like: "It's not working. My money's all gone! My money's gone somewhere and I'm never getting it back!". Satan has permission to do those things. When your prayers aren't answered you will start to wonder. But this was the source! Use the tools you have wisely. Whizzing Back, we don't want to be like Ananias and Sapphira who were selfish and lied to God. They probably confessed some pretty evil thing

Whizzing Back : Promise 2 : Peace Trio

"You will keep in perfect peace all whose minds are fixed on You. All whose thoughts are fixed on You" - Isaiah 26:3 Whizzing Back, Promise 2: Peace Trio. This is another promise God fulfilled, and He still does. Let's whizz back to the time of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They kept their minds fixed on God and their faith never flinched or failed. In fact, they had strong faith. Their minds were fixed on the Lord. They were fixed on obeying Him. They were weak, but God made them strong to face King Nebuchadnezzar and his flaming furnace. God kept them in perfect peace and He will to you to! God gives us peace. When we're sad or angry, God will give us peace. His Word brings peace. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were Hebrews and read the Scriptures daily. The peace and faith they had must have come from Isaiah 53. Even whilst they were in the fire, they had peace. God's Word gives us peace!

Whizzing Back: Promise 1 : Super Crusher

"For no word from God will ever fail" - Luke 1:37 This is SO true. Let's whizz back in time to the beginning of the Bible. This is a new series called: WHIZZING BACK. This series will cover the promises of God and how he fulfilled them. It will provide insight on promises you thought weren't fulfilled! "So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock      and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly      and you will eat dust      all the days of your life. 15  And I will put enmity      between you and the woman,      and between your offspring [ a ] and hers; he will crush [ b ] your head,      and you will strike his heel.” - Genesis 3:14-15 Jesus was this SUPER crusher that God was talking about. He would defeat the snake forever, restore God's perfect creation and bring eternal life. BUT this would be at a price. Satan would not be happy about this, and God knew. The serpent str

Stop - Day 10 - Answering Troubled Hearts

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 | NIV Note: Today is the LAST stop lesson. We will be doing another 10 days in a fortnight, if you would like us too. If this series has been helpful to you, comment below. Us Christians sometimes have trouble giving whatever God has given us to others. When God comforts us, we need to comfort others. In others words, when God shows us the Way and teaches us things, and somebody else needs to know, as we grow in faith and in spirit, we can tell them. A troubled heart with questions cannot retrieve the blessings of God. If our heart is full of unanswered questions about God, it makes our faith unstable. We need to comfort those heart and feed them the Word of God. Answer those questions and build faith! Stop not answering tro

Stop - Day 9 - Disobedience

"This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it'" - Jeremiah 6:16 Today's STOP lesson is about disobedience. We disobey the Bible and do things we KNOW WE OUGHT NOT TO DO. You say, "Smoking isn't in the Bible!" or "Being addicted to video games isn't in the Bible!". The Bible says in John 10:10 that Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. If anything fits into those categories, STOP IT! Being addicted to video games slowly destroys our time for God. If we are playing games or drinking or having fun 24/7, when will we have time for Jesus? When? God wants us to worship Him in Spirit and in truth, but how can we do that when we are disobeying all the time? How will we walk in the Right Path? How will God use us? Anything contrary to the Word of God is disobedience. Yep, anything! S

Stop - Day 8 - Not Being Responsive in the Spirit

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? - Romans. 8:31 Today's STOP lesson is about doubting the protection of God and not listening to Him. God is something the mind cannot comprehend fully. To communicate with God we need to be in the Spirit. Basically, our hearts should be with Him always. Let God speak to you. But how does He speak to us? Through prayer, dreams and maybe a still small voice. Stop not being responsive in the Spirit! God is a Spirit so worship Him in the spirit!

Stop - Day 7 - Falling for Fake Wisdom

19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” - 1 Corinthians 19-20 We seem to think we are wiser than God sometimes. But never forget that it is God who is the provider of true wisdom. Satan toys us using his false wisdom to make us sin. God will give us a discerning spirit to see right through it all. Stop falling for fake wisdom!

Stop - Day 6 - Letting your Guard Down

"7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" - 2 Timothy 4:7 We, as Christians, need to stop letting our guard down. Whenever we don't pray, we're letting our guard down. When we do not read God's Word, believe in it and confess it we are letting our guard down. STOP letting your guard down!

Stop - Day 5 - Greed

15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” Many Christian have bad habits of greed and selfishness, some without knowing themselves! But we've got to be careful: greed for power and fame can put us in the deepest of sorrows. Some people find that out the hard way, looking for power, pulling themselves into demonic cults and groups which call them selves harmless, and then ending up  searching for a solution to their problems. Sometimes even Satan demanding blood from them! Greed gives us terrible fates and if we let it go its way then... we may not even live to see the next day. Treat greed as a poisonous disease (not the people who have it, mind) and never ever fall for it! If the temptation is too great, read God's Word! Try and guide people out! If they don't want to get out, let them stay and find out about what you are talking about. Act like Christ (Ephesians 5:1) and st

Stop - Day 4 - Making Disobedient Plans

" Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." - Proverbs 19:21 This verse is disobeyed in many ways. We make many plans in our minds but we forget that it is only the will and purpose of the Lord that stands, every time. How do we know the purpose of God? Anything that agrees with the Word of God is his Will. So-wanting to go out for a drink later this night? Check it up in the Bible. Wanting to go for a little friend-meet-up group pub meeting? Look it up in the Bible! Jesus is the Word, the Word in action which is why we can turn to Him for our solutions because the Word never fails! We fight using the Word! We fight using Jesus! Our daily plans should always be based on the purpose and Will of God. The Word is our tour guide on the treacherous path of life. Whatever the surprises-trust in It to be you Guide in life. Make sure you include Him in your plans so that Lord's purpose is in them. Only then will they stand!

Stop - Day 3 - Doubting Prayers and not Believing

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17  For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed —a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, [a] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith."" - Romans 1:16-17 NIV As the righteous of God, we need to have faith. Faith is when we trust and cling onto Jesus and believe what He says about us is true, no matter the pressure of the circumstances. What is the power in the Gospel? The power to change. If we speak God's Word, with faith and confess it over our lives, we will always get some great results. Unless our heart is bitter. God does not hear a bitter heart. Forgive - or God may not forgive you. If we doubt what we speak, it won't work for us. Faith produces the works - the works which please God. You must believe what you speak for it to come to pass. Faith is the

Stop - Day 2 - Complaining

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. - 2 Corinthians 10:12  Note: I have started a STOP series (Day 1 yesterday) that will help you stop or learn more about many sinful habits that even Christians have. It will also serve as a reminder of God's Word to people. Day 3 is tomorrow! People who are always comparing themselves to others are not wise. Why? Because, if you are comparing yourself to a non-Christian, you have something better! You have something better! The life of God! God himself has come to live in you, he works in you and has saved you! Jesus is working inside of you and has given you His Name which is greater and more powerful than any other! Comparing ourself to worldly things is worthless!  You may be comparing yourself because you are suffering. Here's an uplifting scripture to meditate on: “We have sufferings no

Stop - Day 1 - Gossiping

"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. " - Ephesians 4:29 "A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer [gossiper] separates close friends." - Proverbs 16:28 Yep! Two Bible verses! The first is for yesterday, as I am about to apologize for not doing. This was due to a heavy day and a sleepy me. Anyway, Proverbs 16:28! There are plenty of dishonest men and gossipers all around the world! But what is gossip? Gossip is when we spread false, embarrassing or rude stories about others and talk about and laugh at their weaknesses, how they look, how they do things etc. Here's an Oxford dictionary definition: casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details which are not confirmed as true: .But what does the Bible say? God doesn't want us to spread mean words or dishonest stories about other

Use your mistakes to teach others.

17 The person who accepts correction is on the way to life. But the person who ignores correction will be ruined. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬ ICB) God corrects us so that we can learn. Learning is an important part of a Christian's life. Past experiences can also help us and make us wiser. But once we've made a mistake and learnt from it, we must not make it again. We must use our mistakes to teach others, and remember it is by God's grace that you are freed by sin.

The Word of God cleanses!

12 God’s word is alive and working. It is sharper than a sword sharpened on both sides. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined. It cuts to the center of our joints and our bones. And God’s word judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ICB) God's Word is the Sword of the Spirit, and as we see in our verse, it is double edged and cuts through bone and marrow, which is why we must read it and believe it as it can cleanse our souls.

Jeremiah 31:3

3 And from far away the Lord appeared to his people. He said, “I love you people with a love that will last forever. I became your friend because of my love and kindness. (‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31‬:‭3‬ ICB)

Religions are tricks!

11 You will teach me God’s way to live. Being with you will fill me with joy. At your right hand I will find pleasure forever. (‭Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬ ICB) God's Way is the ONLY WAY to Him. Religion like Buddhism, Hinduism etc. are all broad paths. They LOOK more welcoming, more true. But don't judge a book by its cover! This paths are false, demonic and are only traps for the human soul. Jesus said in John 14:6 - "I am the way, the truth and the life. Nobody comes to the father expect through me." You see? NO ONE GOES TO GOD EXPECT THROUGH JESUS! All the other religions claim to lead to Jesus but only ONE does. And it's not a religion. It's a reality! Religion puts barriers on what you can and can't do and brings confusion. They put barriers in the soul and ARE ALL TRICKS! RELIGIONS ARE TRICKS!

DILIGENT WORKERS ARE REWARDED!

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:23-25‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Diligence. Being diligent is very important in a Christians life. Diligence is when we are hard-working and using the gifts God has given us for his glory. Diligence is being earnest and hard work to the Lord. But remember- anyone could be working hard and not be diligent. You must be using your gifts or doing the work God has given you WITH OBEDIENCE AND COMMITMENT. The Bible says in Proverbs 13:4 : “The lazy person will not get what he wants. But a diligent worker gets everything he wants.” Diligent workers are rewarded. Goodness is rewarded and so is wrong. You can work diligently for God or for evil. DILIGENT WORKERS ARE REWARDED! ‭‭

Faith is the Key!

3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. (‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ESV) For God to be faithful and to do what He wants to do, we must be submissive. And when I mean submissive, I mean that it isn't YOU who is in control and is in charge. It is God. And for Him to be faithful you must have faith in what you are hoping for him to do. Do I make myself clear? Good. Faith is the key to solving your problems. When you pray, have faith. When you command the evil works of darkness out of your life, have faith. When all hope seems lost and nothing seems to go well, have mor faith. Faith is the key 🔑!

The Holy Spirit is our Instructor

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” - Romans 8:15 When we read portions of Scripture, we may not understand it. This is because we need a teacher-an instructor, to tell us what it means. For example, imagine it is your first ever year in school. The teacher gives you a sheet of sums. You still don't understand them. You see-the text is there, but you don't understand. You need someone to show you the 'backstory' behind it. Don't just go using it for different purposes and proving the wrong points! The Bible is definitely God speaking to us, but we sometimes do not understand Him. We need a director or Helper which is why Jesus sent the Holy Ghost. To be a Guide for us and, once we submit to Him, He will reveal the answer. Sometimes through other people or  Pastors. The Holy Spirit instructor.

Lovely, luxorious, lips!

"15  Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name." - Hebrews 13:15 ESV Do we ever take time to thank God with our lips? We have lips, which can, as other things, be used for good and bad. That decision is ours. God has given us many facilities, but it is US who decide how to use them. God gives you a situation. YOU decide how you go through it. Whatever happens in that situation reflects on YOUR decision. Use your lips for good things! (i.e Not swearing, abuse, mean words etc.)

Daily Walk with God.

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭121:1-8‬ ‭NIV Whoa. Whoa. Bit of a long passage? But however long, it is very true. God will never let our foot slip if we have faith in God and stay on His path. He will watch over us if we stay with him. Staying with God means we: * Pray * Read and study and meditate our Bible * Speak Scripture, obey it and believe it. This is what we must do daily in our walk with God.
