Whizzing Back: Promise 1 : Super Crusher

"For no word from God will ever fail" - Luke 1:37

This is SO true. Let's whizz back in time to the beginning of the Bible. This is a new series called: WHIZZING BACK. This series will cover the promises of God and how he fulfilled them. It will provide insight on promises you thought weren't fulfilled!

"So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock
    and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
    and you will eat dust
    all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head,
    and you will strike his heel.” - Genesis 3:14-15

Jesus was this SUPER crusher that God was talking about. He would defeat the snake forever, restore God's perfect creation and bring eternal life. BUT this would be at a price. Satan would not be happy about this, and God knew. The serpent striking Jesus' heel bit is about Jesus' death. Satan would think that He had won. But, He would be wrong. Because 3 days later Jesus rises again from the dead! Whizzing Back, we see that God fulfilled this promise so that we can be at peace with Him again and have that close oneness that we did at the beginning. And we can! Through Jesus Christ.
