The teacher gives you a sheet of sums. You still don't understand them. You see-the text is there, but you don't understand. You need someone to show you the 'backstory' behind it. Don't just go using it for different purposes and proving the wrong points! The Bible is definitely God speaking to us, but we sometimes do not understand Him. We need a director or Helper which is why Jesus sent the Holy Ghost. To be a Guide for us and, once we submit to Him, He will reveal the answer. Sometimes through other people or Pastors.
