“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,”
Ephesians 3:17 KJV

The reason why many of us struggle to follow the Word of God is because Christ is not rooted in our hearts. We are not rooted in Christ. You see, Christ is the cornerstone of our faith, and we need to be rooted in Him for us to live successfully as Christians. The Word of God should be where our actions, words and thoughts should be based from. James talked about what our words should be like in chapter 3 of his book:
"With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."
Let us ground ourselves in Christ to live the life Christ wants us to live!
