We Need God

“If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”
John 15:6 KJV

Many of us are struggling with living as Christians, and this is one of the reasons why. It's because we aren't abiding in Jesus, and we think we can live a life in the flesh and walk with God. This is not possible, and will never work. We don't leave everything to God and instead let our pride take over and we say to God 'I don't need you'. But we don't understand that without Him we wouldn't be here today. Jesus described us as an adulterous generation, in Matthew 16:4. “A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”
Matthew 16:4 KJV

When Jesus says adulterous here, He's not talking about adultery as we think. You see, as the Bride, we should be married to Jesus, correct? But sometimes we push Jesus away and then follow after sin. Then when trouble comes, we moan, 'Why, why, God?'. If we continue to abide in the Vine, He will continue to fight for us and we will walk in the light as He is in the light.

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display J...

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...

Humble Is Best!

Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133  |  NIV   We need to let God's Word rule our lives, directing our footsteps on our journey through life. God is our Director leading us-even of the path LOOKS right, it doesn't mean it IS right. God knows best so we shouldn't be no-it-alls. Humble your self!
