Act on Faith

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
James 1:25 KJV

Lots of us who say we are Christians are actually forgetful hearers. We hear God's Word and then, when the moment comes to remember it, we waver to the right or left and think 'it doesn't matter'. James is talking about a mirror: a mirror of faith. When you look, you should reflect faith, the substance of things hoped for, and act on faith!

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.
