“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and
the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies” (John 11:25).
Some of us don’t
understand the story of Lazarus. Especially when Jesus says that Lazarus’
sickness wouldn’t end in death. But, physically, it did! But the thing is,
Lazarus loved Jesus, and he believed in Him. And let’s hear what happens when
you believe in Him:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)
Did you read that? Because Lazarus believed in
Jesus, he did not die! So it was true when Jesus said Lazarus was sleeping:
“After he had said this, he
went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am
going there to wake him up." (John 11:11) Understand
God’s Word by revelation, and not by information.
