Waging War for What I Want? Uh-uh.

"You want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can't get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it." - James 4:2 NLT

Whoa. This pretty much explains why, no matter how many times people try to get something by killing or scheming, they always fail. Nothing good can come from anyone else. You kill, you scheme and you conspire just to get what you want. They're are many severe consequences, just like in the case of David's act if adultery. His sin affected the rule of his kingdom, and the kingdom of his sons. Fighting and waging war is a common way that people think will get them things. It's a lie, but Satan covers the truth with a veil so they continue going blindly, fighting one another. It is expected though: 
“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
2 Corinthians 4:4 NLT

By God's Will, they don't understand and won't see the light, unless we show it to them. Don't wage war for what you want. Just ask God.

Christ Died For Me! Romans 5:8

"But God shows His love for us on that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" - Romans 5:8 Sin. God. Not friends. God tells us to love one another, but we only have one enemy. Satan. The person who wants to wipe out mankind forever. One of his main servants is Sin. Something that cannot get is close to God. But how does he bait us in? How? Worldly pleasures.
