““I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.””
Jeremiah 1:5 NLT

God did it, so we act upon it. There's one thing many new-born believers get wrong when they become followers of Christ. They believe they are holy, as soon as they are saved, which true. After all:
“God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.”
1 Corinthians 1:30 NLT

Good. So what's wrong? The thing is, they believe they are holy and still continue to sin! God didn't just make you holy. He did it, and gave you the power to remain sinless and to resist sin! He told us through Peter, that we should remain holy, as God is holy.
“But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.”
1 Peter 1:15 NLT

Being holy means continuing that holiness and letting it affect your behaviour, conduct and lifestyle. Be holy, and remain holy!
