Free Indeed!

Title: Free Indeed
"So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered Him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
(John 8:31-36, ESV)
What does it mean to be free indeed? For many people, getting to the freedom is one very hard step. But it isn't hard. They themselves make it hard. Jesus wants us to be free, but your faith is what matters. The man of God has his half to do, and you have your half. You can show your faith by your efforts and only that. But, don't get me wrong, God's freedom is SOOOO unique, beautiful and peaceful, and can be felt especially through prayer. But...
Is your freedom 'sin'?
Well. Well. You see, many people call themselves Christians, but, you know what, they don't follow God. They remain in the 'freedom' of sin. But, Satan only lures you into something, so that he can trap you, destroy you, and bring you to the Lake of Fire on the last day. Satan is VERY jealous of man. As Satan, he cannot be a son of God, like we are. No! he cannot have the power we have, to create our future. That's what our next series will be about. Creating Your Future. We won't post in this series everyday we may post other things as well), but we will do this series as frequently as the Holy Spirit wants.

The freedom in Christ is a sweet one, where we can freely know that we are not bound by the cage sin puts us in. I'm pretty sure if you asked a sinner, 'Do you enjoy life?', they would talk about how they almost committed suicide by the evil spirit in them, or cut themselves or how they have 'almost to succeed' syndrome. As Christians, our lives go straight up the ladder of success, but a non-believer goes up-down-up-down-down-down-down-up-down-DEAD. So, remember the freedom Christ has given you! Continue your freedom through submission to the Word and prayer.

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur...

Pondering the Bible: How to deal with anger

"Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." James 1:20 NLT http://bible.com/116/jas.1.20.nlt Let’s admit it, we all deal with anger sometimes. But some more than most. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable. This brings us to today’s question: How do you deal with anger?  Well, satan will always keep on trying to do things to make you angry. And as soon as you give in and never let it go, you have failed and satan can hold you back.  Here’s how to deal with it:  The Bible says that when you are angry you should not let it carry over to the next morning.  "And "don’t sin by letting anger control you." Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry," Ephesians 4:26 NLT http://bible.com/116/eph.4.26.nlt This means you may only be angry for some time. But I wouldn’t for long:  "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be...
