CHOSEN AND HOLY! 1 Peter 2:9

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." - 1 Peter 2:9

We as Christians are chosen to be part of God's family! But we must know who is who. Some pastors and teachers only pretend and don't know what they're talking about! The Holy Spirit will guide you in this. Jesus chose us to be His disciples! Followers of the Truth. Jesus. When we are chosen for a special event, we feel special don't we? It is the same with Jesus! We must use what He has given us to His glory. Otherwise the Devil comes and snatches the little seed we have and takes it away. Even a little seed of the Word is powerful! SEE Matthew 17:20/Matthew 13. Some Christians doubt we are Holy! But the Bible says it all!

1 Peter 1:16-
Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:15-

But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct

I may as well fill this whole page up with scriptures! One main scripture is Psalm 96:9 "Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!". How can we worship the Lord if we are not holy? Jesus redeemed that problem and that is that! We are chosen and holy!

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display J...

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...

Humble Is Best!

Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133  |  NIV   We need to let God's Word rule our lives, directing our footsteps on our journey through life. God is our Director leading us-even of the path LOOKS right, it doesn't mean it IS right. God knows best so we shouldn't be no-it-alls. Humble your self!
