THREE PERSONS, ONE GOD!

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God" - John 1:1

Some religous groups believe that God cannot be three persons. Think of it this way: Water can be a steam or vapour, a liquid or a solid (ice). It is like God. He is three persons, and all of them are God. They don't MAKE UP God, they ARE God. The Word is the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God. God has been here sine the beginning! The Word was what He used to create the world! SEE Genesis 1.  If these religous groups know that God is all-powerful, why do they think God cannot abide in us? The Holy Spirit is with us always. Jesus said "And now I will send the Holy Spirit (to abide in you) as I promised" (Luke 24:49). See! Jesus promised! And it all came to pass! Like Father, Like Son! Jesus was God! Need more proof? John 20:24-29:

'Thomas, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Lord". But he said unto them, "Except I see the holes in His hands, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe" And after eoght days again the disciples were together, Thomas woth them, Jesus appeared to them. (The doors and windows being locked). "Peace be with you" He said. "Thomas, touch my hands and thrust your hand into my side as you have wished, do mot be faithless but believe." Thomas bowed and said to Him, "My Lorc and my God". Jesus said to Him "Is it because you have seen Me, you believe? Blessed are those who have not seen Me but believe."'

Wow! Did Jesus rebuke Thomas? For calling Him God? No. Meaning that Jesus was God. And that those who believe in Him, without seeing Him are blessed. We also have an amazing truth. Jesus Is Alive! But, in biblical times, it was impossible for someone to do miracles and cast out demons unless they were from God (John 3:1-21) Let alone rise from the dead! Jesus was the first to rise from the dead, part of his mission to save us. He was from GOD, He was HIS SON (John 3:16), He IS GOD (John 1:1). To sum it all up: 3 PERSONS, ONE GOD!

Prayer 4 Today (based on Psalm 31) I come to you Lord, for protection, You never let me be defeated. You are a good and righteous God; Save me, I pray. Be my refuge to protect me, my defence to save me.

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...

STOP HOLDING ONTO FLESH!

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.14.21.kjv We can see from this verse that a true follower of Jesus obeys his commands. But why do we find it difficult to follow Jesus? It’s because we are still holding onto flesh. We don’t want to let go, we think we can be both of God and of the flesh. But for you to work with God, the flesh must be dead. The flesh is your mind, emotions and your will. I repeat, God cannot work with you if the flesh is still alive. We cannot still hold on to the flesh. We are still sitting on the fence, not going in or out. Jesus said: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rev.3.16.kjv Let’s stop holding onto the flesh!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...
