The Good Path...

"Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old path, where the good way is, and follow it. There is where you will find rest..." - Jeremaiah 6:16

The reason why the good path is called old is because at this point in time God's people had taken the broad path (SEE Matthew 7:13) and had turned there backs on God. But God didn't turn His back on them! In according to the scripture, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us" - John 3:1. God loves everyone, including sinners, but hated Sin. The reason why Jesus cried out to God was because God had turned his back on Him. This was because Jesus was carrying Sin on Him. The Sin of all the world. God has no choice. But Jesus left all that Sin in that tomb! Jesus rose as a new man. A new creation! (SEE 2 Corinthians 5:17) Jeremaiah was talking about the future path. Jesus. The one and only path that leads to God. The Lamb that would take away the sins of the world. It has already happened. You can make the biggest choice in your life! Just say this:

Dear God,
I have sinned,
I want to be washed clean in your blood,
Forgive me for my wrong doings,
For I now see the way.
Be the Lord and Saviour of my life.
Thank You for coming into my life.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Wow! Let Jesus take you along the path to Heaven. Follow His steps! And keep Jesus in all you do!

STOP HOLDING ONTO FLESH!

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.14.21.kjv We can see from this verse that a true follower of Jesus obeys his commands. But why do we find it difficult to follow Jesus? It’s because we are still holding onto flesh. We don’t want to let go, we think we can be both of God and of the flesh. But for you to work with God, the flesh must be dead. The flesh is your mind, emotions and your will. I repeat, God cannot work with you if the flesh is still alive. We cannot still hold on to the flesh. We are still sitting on the fence, not going in or out. Jesus said: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rev.3.16.kjv Let’s stop holding onto the flesh!

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display J...
