Lust of the World

This is what the Lord says:
Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ - Jeremiah 6:16
God wants us to be on watch-all of the time for the end time and things that may be ahead. We should be on the good path-no matter what the majority are doing. It doesn't matter about what THOSE people are doing! You are a son of the Most High- A god! You reign with Christ, which is greater than anything else on this world! We have said to God, "No! I will not walk in this path," when He has given us the correct path and we wander off on the wrong one, with danger or death around the corner. God has grabbed us from the brisk of death, and we go and leave Him. Let me tell you a story:
There was once a farmer who was driving down the road. He found an injured dog lying by the side of the road. The farmer stopped and took him to his car and drove home. The farmer nurtured it and cared for it and they soon became friends. One day, the dog was looking out of the window and saw a dog bowl. It suddenly dashed out of the house, leaving the farmer. The farmer thought, I cared for it and it runs away?
The dog in that story is us sometimes. We are found by God, on the brink of death and He saves us and looks after us. But the distractions of the world lure us into sin and we leave the good farmer, to go and live with a bad man. Let's make sure that we stay with God and are not drawn by the lust of Satan.

STOP HOLDING ONTO FLESH!

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.14.21.kjv We can see from this verse that a true follower of Jesus obeys his commands. But why do we find it difficult to follow Jesus? It’s because we are still holding onto flesh. We don’t want to let go, we think we can be both of God and of the flesh. But for you to work with God, the flesh must be dead. The flesh is your mind, emotions and your will. I repeat, God cannot work with you if the flesh is still alive. We cannot still hold on to the flesh. We are still sitting on the fence, not going in or out. Jesus said: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rev.3.16.kjv Let’s stop holding onto the flesh!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Hold onto Faith

Verse: "We don't fight against the people on this earth, but against the powers, principalities and against the rulers of darkness in the spiritual realm" - Ephesians 6:12 Message: Many people blame each other for tragedies that have happened to them or their relatives. But we have only one adversary: Satan and his agents. Why? Let scripture answer that: "And the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." - 2 Corinthians 4:4 But we are not of the world, but are in it to save those who are lost: " The world would love you if you belonged to it; but you don’t—for I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you." - John 15:19 Most people have different excuses for why we should be of the world instead of Jesus. Here are a few with biblical answers: 1. I get laughed at. And my friend left me. Jesu...
