Where God wants you to be. Plus: finishing of story

"Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life, righteousness, and honour." - Proverbs 21:21 ESV

When we find righteousness and honour (from God) it is because we have obeyed what He said and been where He wanted us to be or do what He wanted us to do. When you persevere and go on for God, you will know it was worth it once the reward is at the end. Paul said:

"I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." - Philippians 3:14 NLT.

We should never worry but trust God, knowing that we need to get where God wants us to be or do what He wants us to do, no matter what. On with the story....

You stand there shivering in the icy, cold wind. You've tried and tried to get the car working. No mechanics around your area are available at this time in the morning. But you love getting to church early! You pray quietly and wait for 30 minutes.  The wind blows against your face, like it's slapping you. Suddenly your phone rings. You shakily pull it out and stammer: "Hello?"
It's your pastor on the line. He says that God told him to come and meet you. He is waiting outside ready to take you to church. Now you'll be early! And it is a miraculous day in church! THE END.

You see? Satan tried to pull you back from witnessing the amazing anointing of God. He tried to stop you by making your car break down and lose battery suddenly. But because you are persistent and keep on pursuing righteousness, you are where God wants you to be.

STOP HOLDING ONTO FLESH!

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.14.21.kjv We can see from this verse that a true follower of Jesus obeys his commands. But why do we find it difficult to follow Jesus? It’s because we are still holding onto flesh. We don’t want to let go, we think we can be both of God and of the flesh. But for you to work with God, the flesh must be dead. The flesh is your mind, emotions and your will. I repeat, God cannot work with you if the flesh is still alive. We cannot still hold on to the flesh. We are still sitting on the fence, not going in or out. Jesus said: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rev.3.16.kjv Let’s stop holding onto the flesh!

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display J...

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...
