YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE BECAUSE OF GOD!

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
God did something amazing-he came down in the flesh and became a sacrifice for our sins. He came and did something we did not deserve-He become our Servant. He laid down His life for his followers. This is something, in our own self-righteousness, we could never have done! Not even if we decided to (which would have probably been impossible)! Our lives are not our own but are still active by and are built on God's mercy. You are NOT here because of your faithfulness. You are NOT here because you have never sinned. You are NOT here for any other reason than this: it is by the grace of God that you are alive and well! Did you know that some people slept but didn't wake up today? You did. You woke up, and ate food. Don't always be thinking about that mate who has a fantastic job, that mate who has a cool car. Have you thought about those mates who are blind, deaf, jobless or homeless? No. Be thankful. Your life is not your own, but is working and was built on God's mercy. Without God, you and I wouldn't be here today. Without God, you and I wouldn't even be alive here. We would probably be facing judgement by God and being whipped to hell in a second. It's God who gave His life. It's God who saved us. It's God! Serve Him and be thankful as you sleep this evening.
Bye!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur...

Pondering the Bible: How to deal with anger

"Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." James 1:20 NLT http://bible.com/116/jas.1.20.nlt Let’s admit it, we all deal with anger sometimes. But some more than most. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable. This brings us to today’s question: How do you deal with anger?  Well, satan will always keep on trying to do things to make you angry. And as soon as you give in and never let it go, you have failed and satan can hold you back.  Here’s how to deal with it:  The Bible says that when you are angry you should not let it carry over to the next morning.  "And "don’t sin by letting anger control you." Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry," Ephesians 4:26 NLT http://bible.com/116/eph.4.26.nlt This means you may only be angry for some time. But I wouldn’t for long:  "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be...
