Revere Christ as Lord!

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." - 1 Peter 3:15.

Whenever we are being trialled or tested for our faith, we should never deny it. Take the opportunity to tell them about God. Preach to them and give them the chance to hear about God. It may work, it may not. But all you know is, you accomplished your part of the mission. You've preached to them. Now it's there decision to come to Christ. Notice the Bible says do it with GENTLENESS. We don't use violence to try and preach the Gospel. We don't force people to believe in our reality. We use one of the fruit of the spirit (See Galatians 5:22 for a full list) Now you may wonder why Peter says 'with respect' when God says:
"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" - Acts 10:34.
You see, Peter means that when we show respect, we're meant to preach with boldness as well as gentleness, but WITHOUT respecting their personality. If they don't want to be preached too, fine!  Don't FORCE people, remember that. Peter means that we should do it with a tone of gentleness and respecting their position as an unbeliever but not personality. When they do not believe, the way you preach to them should utter the Truth in a way that will make them realise their mistake and go to Jesus. The Bible says that we shouldn't worry for God will put in our mouths what to say:
"for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” - Luke 12:12

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display J...

Humble Is Best!

Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. Psalm 119:133  |  NIV   We need to let God's Word rule our lives, directing our footsteps on our journey through life. God is our Director leading us-even of the path LOOKS right, it doesn't mean it IS right. God knows best so we shouldn't be no-it-alls. Humble your self!

Put on the armour! The Armour! The Armour! The Armour of God!

' Order the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle! Harness the horses, and mount up you horsemen! Stand forth with your helmets , polish the spears, put on the armour!  - Jeremiah 46: 3-4 This verse talk about a battle. Not a battle of the physical (the seen) but a battle of the spiritual (the unseen). We need to stand up in the faith! We must defend ourselves from the enemy! "Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:8. What do we need to do to shield us from the enemy? How do we stop "the roaring lion"  from attacking us? Here's the good news! God has given us an armour! The Armour of God (or AOG for short) in Ephesians 6:14-17 talks about this armour what we should wear, do and understand! " Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readine...
