Pray without Ceasing!

"Rejoice always: pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this God Will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 God's Will for us, to rejoice, pray and obey Him, as Paul describes. This Will needs to be effective in our life and working daily. How do I do it?  God's Spirit must be in you, first. Then, He will show you what God wants for you and what gift He has given you.  " But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come." - John 16:13 How do I know that this 'Spirit of truth' is God's?  " The Spirit   of the   Lord   will rest on him—      the Spirit of wisdom  and of understanding,      the Spirit of counsel and of might,      the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the  Lord —" - Isaiah 11:2  God's Spirit counsels with truth. So, He is the Spirit of truth

Fulfilling the Law and Drawing a Sword - Romans 2:23

"You who brag and boast about the law dishonour God by breaking it" - Romans 2:23  Most of you would be thinking, but God tells us to obey His law? You are absolutely correct, but my point is to make known that Jesus and his commandment, that is the law. Why? Let us see what He said:  "' Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them.'" -  Matthew 5:17 NIV   Jesus has fulfilled the law and gave us a commandment: To Love One Another (John 13:34-35).  But what is love?  One thing should be clear, and remain very clear. YOU CANNOT LOVE WITHOUT GOD'S SPIRIT. The love the world claims to give is touch and go and does not last long. But love with God's Spirit, and you're in high skies. But love isn't just being kind and friendly, no, it is about obeying God and sustaining with Him until the end. True love is when you sacrifice things for others so that they

Take Up Your Cross! Plus information about Matthew 10:34-36!

"Then He [Jesus] said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow Me" - Luke 9:23  The cross example used here means our responsibilities  and/or temptations as Christians. Daily, we fight the Devil and his schemes. Daily we face temptation. But we always overcome come it, if we have faith. Jesus never said that this life, would be a life of freedom! In this world's cycle, there is always an enemy. In this case, Satan, who is boiled over with jealousy at our power and inheritance! Of course, we have our blessings, but daily we must serve Jesus. That is what this verse means. To serve Jesus daily. We must say that He is in control of our lives!  Does this mean we have no peace?  No. We have peace as we serve and follow Jesus wit hour crosses. A loving peace. Warm and tender and not the peace of this world. Let me touch on this verse that many people ask about:  “Do not suppose that I have come t

God's done it, and I rely on it! Exodus 14:13-14

"  Moses answered the people, 'Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see  the deliverance the  Lord  will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see  again.     The  Lord  will fight  for you; you need only to be still.'"-  Exodus 14:13-14 NIV  Sometimes we just worry to much. I can admit it! But we must learn to stand our ground in Christ and just watch. Just watch and see the deliverance the Lord is building for you. Sometimes we just have to wait for God and believe it is done. He knows what He's doing and the wait is always worth it! Because God is the Creator of the best! Here's a quote:  "'For I know the plans  I have for you,' declares the  Lord , 'plans to prosper  you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" -  Jeremiah 29:11 NIV Image for this verse:  So why must we worry? We have God's scripture to rely upon! Hold on, I feel another quote coming!

Seek God to obey Him!

"(Jesus)He replied, blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and obey it" - Luke 11:28  We shouldn't just hear God's Word and do nothing about it! "The Word is a seed, when planted and watered, grows to be great"  - Pastor Sunny of CKMI. Faith is a special seed and only comes or grows when we hear and obey the Word of God. There is stuff in this world sent to distract you, from activating that power to recreate your world. The Devil wants to make your life a wasteland of impurity and failure, but if you set to work with the power to recreate your life. The Word unlocks all the doors Satan has shut. And they stay open forever! "' And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of  the holy one,  the true one,  who has the key of David,  who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens." - Revelations 3:7.  Jesus lives and abides in you, so He is shutting and opening the doors! See 1 John 4:15 to lea

Crucified with Christ to Show My Values!

"For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake." - 2 Corinthians 4:5  Anyone can call themselves a servant of God. So how do we know who's who? Let us look at the Bible for an answer:  "By their fruits  you will  recognise  them..." -  Matthew  7:16  What are these 'fruits'?  Good question. These fruits are your actions. Let's look at the fruit of the Spirit:  So, if we are going to discern a true Christian or not, we should answer these questions:  Is this person loving?  Is this person joyful?  Is this person peaceful? and so on.  And one MOST important question:  DOES THIS PERSON - LISTEN TO GOD'S WORD ACT UPON GOD'S WORD?  I made sure that was understood by using the big font. To learn more about acting on God's Word, click here.  We must preach the full gospel of Christ, without fail, and without twisting or removing any thing. You give i

Obey God without Fail! - Romans 6:16

"Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey -- whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?" - Romans 6:16  Please note that we are not God's slaves. We are His servants, but the version of this Bible describes it as slaves  When we obey God, it is a huge and very important thing to do. God tells us in His Word that obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22) . Obedience to God is important in our daily lives. In other terms, we should obey first, so that we do not need to be forgiven by Jesus. If God asked you to go to America where there are shootings, would you go? I would, rather than face the consequences. And, God would never let us be harmed, so no bullet will hit you! But God has to test you first and the Devil does to! To see if your trust is really in Him (God)and if you would obey Him no matter what happens. We can l

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur

Why should we help others spiritually? Why shouldn't we go back to our old lives?

"Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them." - Romans 1:32  When we are Christians we should not wish for the habits we have left. Solomon  describes it as a dog going back to its vomit. (Proverbs 26:11) Once we have left our old life, we've left it and now need to be looking forward not back. But, just think, if you had all the riches in the world but had no reason to live what would it be worth? Nothing. This so Jesus describes in Mark 8:36:  "What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?'" We should not practice old doctrines and call ourselves Christians. Neither should we applaud those who practice our old doctrines. They may have been looking up to you, and now your Christian you show them the way because they followed your old doctrines. Do not let them continue! We must

Why read the Bible? Learn about the Bible in this devotional!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" - Psalm 119:105  We must always read our Bibles with guidance from God's Spirit. Why? Some verses may not seem...correct to the human mind, but with God's mind(SEE Philippians 2:5), we can understand it. Read this: "The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD--" - Isaiah 11:2  The Holy Spirit is God's Helper and Messenger. We should spend as much time as we can daily fellowshipping with Him. Telling Jesus our worries, hopes and fears. We should always pray in the morning, evening and, if you can, midday. Us as Christians shoudl be watching both pysichally and spiritually for Satan's next act. Christians have control of the future. Exciting, right? But we need to see that power to activate it. We walk around, "...lovers of iniquity more than God..." - 2 Tim

What is fellowship? Learn about fellowship in this devotional...

"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with One another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:7  If we walk in the light like Jesus, we walk with Him and can 'fellowship' with Him.  Question: What is fellowship?  Answer:  This is talking and praying and fasting as well as keeping God's commandments. So, praying to God about anything, keeping God's Word stored in your heart, and keeping your faith or fasting. Keeping in total fellowship with God gives you great blessings. You must cling to Jesus, follow His every step, and keep moving on. Including when there are distractions and/or temptations. God guides you and you must cling to Him and accept Him as your Leader. "He who clings to, relies on and beloved in Him, will not be judged" - John 3:18. The judging part means as to to Sheol, likewise known as Hell. The blood of Jesus Christ washes us from our impurity and the Name of
