Bearing that Cross

" He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again." - Mark 8:31  Many of us want to know why God allows Christians to suffer. Now notice, Jesus, who is God never said that life as a Christian is easy. He said it came with responsibility - but we will overcome them:  "After calling the crowd together with his disciples, Jesus said to them, “All who want to come after me must say no to themselves, take up their cross, and follow me." - Mark 8:34.  What does it mean to say no to yourself? Let's see the amplified version of Mark 8:34 :  "Jesus called the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [beli

Let's Meditate!

" Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58  Some of us let our guard down once we face temptations or we partially take part in the work of God.. Our labour, the stuff we face, doesn't get looked upon - it gets rewarded. Nothing should move us according to Paul. He said it again in Ephesians six. This all happens in a different realm - the spiritual which controls the physical. Many of us blame people directly for their actions - which is wildly wrong. Because everyone is a spirit which means that to be able to control a person, you have to control them in the spirit. God  is a spirit, which means you need to talk with him through the spirit. For example, there's a bad odour in the room. What would you do?  A) Blame the smell on itself?  B) Find the smell's source and remove it  Ye

The Power In The Name

"There is none like God...who rides through Heaven to your help, through the skies in His majesty" - Deuteronomy 33:26  Many of us expect an answer when we pray - immediately. We try to control God  thinking we know best, when God does. But if the Holy Spirit lives in us, patience live in us too, because it is of the Spirit (Gal  5:22 ). We have everything we ever need or ever will need - the only thing you have to do is activate it. The power in the name of Jesus, as soon as you activate it, is ready and available to use. Anyone can say Jesus, but they can't use its power because it's either:  A) not given to them or  B) they don't believe.  What can I do to activate the power?  To activate this power, you need faith and full relying on God. No matter what, even in temptation. You see, a Christian's life is one with more temptation. But that's good - because:  A) We overcome them all!  B) It's when we show and display Jesus'

Mystery Of The Kingdom

" “ Now to him who is able   to establish you in accordance with my gospel,   the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery   hidden for long ages past,   26  but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings   by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from   faith" - Romans 16:25-26  We are hundred times hundred more important than the world. Or in other words, we are the target Satan always wants to try and get. But some of us don’t realise that. We want to blend in, not get laughed at. But the mystery of eternal life is with us, not them. They don’t know God, so the mystery is not with them but has been revealed unto the Christians. " “ Now to him who is able   to establish you in accordance with my gospel,   the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery   hidden for long ages past,   26

Eternal Life

Biblical Explanation Series: No excuse for Sin

He who did not spare his own Son,  but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" - Romans 8:32  Some of us think that after we're saved, that we can continue sinning. Paul wrote,  "What shall we say then, are we going to abide in sin just so grace may abound? Certainly not! We are dead to sin, how can we live any longer in it?" (Romans 6:1-2)  Exactly. How can we? If we don't belong to something, we can't be in it. Sin means 'going for enmity against God' and if we are for God, how can we suddenly now be against Him? Many people claim to have been sent by God, some we can trust, others we can't. Let's see what the Bible says:   " Beloved,  do not believe every spirit, but  test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for  many  false prophets  have gone out into the world." - 1 John 4:1. So, now we know that there are false prophets, false teachers, false doctrines

No counting, just forgiving

Verse:"Do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night so I’ll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns. You’ll be living proof that I didn’t go to all this work for nothing." - Philippians 2:14-16 Many of us - me, sometimes - want to blend in with the world because of our persecution or how much it takes to follow Jesus. We always remember our suffering, but whilst we're in it, we never think of God's good promises. Whenever it's the good times, we never think of the bad or think it's very far. And it's in that moment, when you've stopped standing that the Devil will swipe you off your feet! We should NEVER let our guard down. Say, you hear that a powerful kingdom is coming to

Unsearchable Things

Verse: " ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’" - Jeremiah 33:3. Message : Sometimes we don't call out to God. But little do we know that He will teach us things that are 'unsearchable' . We ignore God, full of pride that says: 'God doesn't knew anything, after all, I'm on earth and He's in Heaven, I know earth better." Full of that attitude could make God retrieve His eternal life from you - but He doesn't. He's still inviting - but has to let you go astray, why? Because God does not like sin. Many propel say- 'I'm not perfect - God knows that' Yes, He knows that. And He has provided a way for you to be perfect. By believing in Jesus Christ.  "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9. Many people doubt God's existence and presence. B

Hold onto Faith

Verse: "We don't fight against the people on this earth, but against the powers, principalities and against the rulers of darkness in the spiritual realm" - Ephesians 6:12 Message: Many people blame each other for tragedies that have happened to them or their relatives. But we have only one adversary: Satan and his agents. Why? Let scripture answer that: "And the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." - 2 Corinthians 4:4 But we are not of the world, but are in it to save those who are lost: " The world would love you if you belonged to it; but you don’t—for I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you." - John 15:19 Most people have different excuses for why we should be of the world instead of Jesus. Here are a few with biblical answers: 1. I get laughed at. And my friend left me. Jesu

Parallel series: Job - the Faith Walker

" For by such grace you have been saved through faith. This does not come from you; it is the gift of God   and not the result of actions, to put a stop to all boasting. " - Ephesians 2:8-9  Many people want to be 'good' in their own terms. But even after they're  saves  they claim that it is of their own efforts. Our own efforts will never get us anywhere, no matter how many times we are proved 'good' by the world, we are sinners. Why? Because Satan is that god of this world and controls sin. God and the devil have  enmity between each other. Our moral definition of 'holy' is not God's way of being holy. Holy means righteousness and able to go into God's presence - but we can't. We are sinners and God's presence is dangerous for us. We have been saved through faith.  What is faith?  Faith is...no, hold on, let's see what the Bible says: " Now faith is the assurance that what we hope for will come about  and the

Spiritual Not Physical Prt 2

And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptise with the Holy Spirit." - John 1:33 The Spirit of God came down and remained in Jesus, and He baptises. But He doesn't baptise with water, but with power and the Holy Ghost. " ‘You heard from me, for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’” (Acts 1:4–5) Baptism with the Holy Ghost is different from the baptism of water. Being baptised with water doesn't make you a Christian - no, it is believing in Jesus that does. Christian comes from the word, 'Christ' turning the meaning into, follower of Christ. Following Christ is much more than the phrase. It means to carry your cross(Matthew 16:24) and let Him do everything. And, I agree, it is much harder than what it says. It means abandoning yourself, and becoming pure. That's ste

Not of The World Prt 2 - 2 Cor 2:7

"For we live by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7 This verse needs to be explained. When we live by faith, we live by what we believe, in our case, Jesus Christ. We live in Jesus, and Jesus in us. "Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." - John 14:23 This is proof that Jesus lives in us. Another proof (my favourite) : "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." - John 14:18 How did He come to us, not physically but IN THE HOLY GHOST! Jesus lives in us, and we have His power. Many people say: 'We don't have all of Jesus' power, we only have a measure'. Let's look at what Jesus said: "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father" - John 14:12 How are we supposed to do mo

A Bit More About Godly Character- Proverbs 11:3

"The integrity of the upright guides them,     but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity." - Proverbs 11:3 This verse leads to want I want to talk about today - Godly Character. Godly character is when we are Christ-like which we need to be all the time. If we call ourselves Christians our actions must be those of Godly character. People look at your life - who do they see, someone holding fast to their integrity or someone who leads and others to and dwells in deceit.  Philippians 4:8 says, : "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—keep thinking about these things." This describes Godly character - many more verses here: https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Bible-Verses-About-Christian-Character/ Godly character dwells in the things God has done for us and wha
