Not of The World Prt 2 - 2 Cor 2:7

"For we live by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7
This verse needs to be explained. When we live by faith, we live by what we believe, in our case, Jesus Christ. We live in Jesus, and Jesus in us.

"Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." - John 14:23 This is proof that Jesus lives in us. Another proof (my favourite) :

"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." - John 14:18

How did He come to us, not physically but IN THE HOLY GHOST!

Jesus lives in us, and we have His power. Many people say: 'We don't have all of Jesus' power, we only have a measure'. Let's look at what Jesus said:
"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father" - John 14:12

How are we supposed to do more than what Jesus' did with less power than He had? We have full power, full adoption as His sons and daughters!

"Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect." - Romans 12:2

Many Christians do their best to impress people of the World as well as be a follower of Jesus. It is IMPOSSIBLE. Jesus said so:

"If the world hates you, you should realize that it hated me before you.  If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But because you do not belong to the world and I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you" - John 15:18-19

Something that does not belong to something cannot be part of it, unless it changes and becomes that criteria to 'fit in'. TRUE Christians can never 'fit in' with the world, because we are chosen out of it. Christians can fit in Christians though - no, I wasn't objecting that. What I am trying to point out is that a Christian will always face temptation from the world, that already belongs to Satan (according to 2 Corinthians 4:4) . And Satan governs this world to do what he wants it to do, but we are Christians and have overcome the world. How? you may ask:
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.'" - John 16:33
Jesus is securing all my points  here:

A) In this world we will have tribulation (temptation)
B) Jesus is the only one who brings peace
C) Jesus is in us, meaning we have overcome the world!

CONFESSION:
Jesus lives with me, my life is filled with blessings, peace and prosperity. I have overcome the world. I allow God's spirit to work in me right now and command Satan out of my life and everything that includes me or pertains to me, in Jesus name, Amen!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur...

Pondering the Bible: How to deal with anger

"Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." James 1:20 NLT http://bible.com/116/jas.1.20.nlt Let’s admit it, we all deal with anger sometimes. But some more than most. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable. This brings us to today’s question: How do you deal with anger?  Well, satan will always keep on trying to do things to make you angry. And as soon as you give in and never let it go, you have failed and satan can hold you back.  Here’s how to deal with it:  The Bible says that when you are angry you should not let it carry over to the next morning.  "And "don’t sin by letting anger control you." Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry," Ephesians 4:26 NLT http://bible.com/116/eph.4.26.nlt This means you may only be angry for some time. But I wouldn’t for long:  "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be...
