CONNECT WITH GOD!

"We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

Note: Satan and his demons are not eternal. What Paul means is that the spiritual controls the physical. God works in the spiritual, and He wants us to walk with Him in that way.
"God is a spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." - John 4:24. A Spirt has to work in the spirit. The spiritual controls the physical, meaning God can work in our lives. IF our spirit agrees with His Spirit. We fight a battle that is not physical.
"We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments." 2 Corinthians 10:4. King James describes it well:
"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)". Carnal means physical. We fight spiritually, as we walk in the spirit with God. That is when we can connect with Him. He wants to talk to us and warn us about times ahead or about His word. But you have to connect! If you don't have a connection to call someone, can you call them? No. It is the same with God. You need to have faith and be in the Spirit to talk with Jesus. Faith is like Wi-Fi, invisible, but you need it to connect with God. Faith works at its fully best in the spirit. Our connection with God should be constant, how? Like this:
Be thinking Godly thoughts, bad thoughts may come but fight them off and think good ones.

Watch things that will help you grow in faith. How would yo know? If you walk with God, your spirit will connect with the pastor you are watching. If not, then watch something that will connect.

Read, pray, and listen. Read God's Word and think about it, write down God's message that is coming to you. Pray about the scripture you've read and put it to its complete affect in your life. Listen to God constantly, with that faith wi-Fi connection. God sees your heart (1 Samuel 16:7); you can pray in your heart and have a consistent connection with God. He may have a message for you and speaks to you. Sometimes, when for example, the door shuts automatically, and you say 'what was that?' God maybe speaking to you. Jesus might be trying to get you to connect with Him. CONNECT WITH GOD!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur...

Pondering the Bible: How to deal with anger

"Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." James 1:20 NLT http://bible.com/116/jas.1.20.nlt Let’s admit it, we all deal with anger sometimes. But some more than most. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable. This brings us to today’s question: How do you deal with anger?  Well, satan will always keep on trying to do things to make you angry. And as soon as you give in and never let it go, you have failed and satan can hold you back.  Here’s how to deal with it:  The Bible says that when you are angry you should not let it carry over to the next morning.  "And "don’t sin by letting anger control you." Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry," Ephesians 4:26 NLT http://bible.com/116/eph.4.26.nlt This means you may only be angry for some time. But I wouldn’t for long:  "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be...
