No counting, just forgiving

Verse:"Do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night so I’ll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns. You’ll be living proof that I didn’t go to all this work for nothing." - Philippians 2:14-16

Many of us - me, sometimes - want to blend in with the world because of our persecution or how much it takes to follow Jesus. We always remember our suffering, but whilst we're in it, we never think of God's good promises. Whenever it's the good times, we never think of the bad or think it's very far. And it's in that moment, when you've stopped standing that the Devil will swipe you off your feet! We should NEVER let our guard down. Say, you hear that a powerful kingdom is coming to attack your city and you're a guard. Would you ever shut your eyes for just one second? No, because the enemy could sneak in. Paul said we should carry the light-giving Message to the whole world which is FULL OF EVIL. How can good reside with evil, darkness reside with light? No! Light will burn the darkness away, and good will destroy evil. If we knew how valuable our souls were, I bet you, everyone would be running to Jesus, but because Satan has blinded them, very few see God's light. (Further Study: 2 Corinthians 4:4)
When we do see God's light, we put away the yoke of Satan and replace it with the yoke of Christ. All jobs have their responsibilities. But that is the little we can do (obeying God and His commandments), to thank God for dying and coming back from defeating sin and death.

""In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold." - Ephesians 4:26-27.

Some of us cannot control ourselves and we get ourselves into anti-social behaviour. We can be angry, but don't let it last the whole day. Just let it go. Let it go. Forgive. Yes...

Question: But what if the person keeps on doing their thing to make me angry? What do I do?
Answer: Peter asked the same thing too.

"Peter got up the nerve to ask, “Master, how many times do I forgive a brother or sister who hurts me? Seven?”
Jesus replied, “Seven! Hardly. Try seventy times seven." - Matthew 18:21-22.
Wait, before you ask, the Bible says no one should count someone else's sins against them, it is a sin itself. So, really we should forgive...infinity times. No counting, just forgiving.

The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress." - Job 37:23.

God is not the reason for your oppression, Satan is. He wants you to feel oppressed. Command him out of your life now! That's your confession.

Confession: Lord, I now know the reason for my oppression and depression and command Satan out of my life, whatever his plan  is  it is cancelled in Jesus name, Amen!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...

Acting on God's Word....

"Do not merely listen to the Word and deceive yourselves. practice it and do what it says." - James 1:22 Today I wanted to talk to you about the Bible's power. Many atheists and other non-Christians believe that the Bible is not true, but THEY haven't meditated on the Word that they heard from Church, study etc. Let's take a look at what Jesus said: " They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.   49  But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.'" Any questions? OK. But HOW do I 'practice and do' what God's Word says?  You make sure that whatever it says, has effect on your life. What I mean to say is, make sur...

Pondering the Bible: How to deal with anger

"Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." James 1:20 NLT http://bible.com/116/jas.1.20.nlt Let’s admit it, we all deal with anger sometimes. But some more than most. When we do get angry, we get this overwhelming sense of bitterness and malice that is sometimes uncontrollable. This brings us to today’s question: How do you deal with anger?  Well, satan will always keep on trying to do things to make you angry. And as soon as you give in and never let it go, you have failed and satan can hold you back.  Here’s how to deal with it:  The Bible says that when you are angry you should not let it carry over to the next morning.  "And "don’t sin by letting anger control you." Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry," Ephesians 4:26 NLT http://bible.com/116/eph.4.26.nlt This means you may only be angry for some time. But I wouldn’t for long:  "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be...
