Say, Act and Put the Word into practice!

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate (think / dwell) on these things.” - Philippains 4:8

For a few days, we will be studying the 'whatever's' Paul is talking about.

Bringing up good report means to be thinking positive and be saying the blessings God has given you. Your thinking, actions and words are some things you shouldn't take for granted. I mean, using them incorrectly can injure ourselves and our success. Say the things God wants you to say, do the things Christ wants you to do, think the thoughts Christ wants you to think. Tempation of course will come our way! And the same method too!
When we accept the thoughts Satan puts into our mind, we haven't fully equipped our mind, body and soul. No, we are still a cast away about to be shipwrecked. But meditating on the Word of God means memorising it and soaking yourself in it. Renounce your blessing in the Word. Say the confessions! The Devil cannot touch someone who knows who they are in Christ. We must:

Say the Word
Act on the Word
Put it into practice.

Using the method above (SAP), your understanding, faith and fear of the Lord will grow immensely. Fear of the Lord is not fear the paralysis us, no! It is the fear that makes us see God's power, glory and miracles in our lives and in others. Be always thinking, acting and saying who you are in Christ and Satan's  gotta stand back!

CONFESSIONS
I am the apple of God's eye, He is my redeemer, Helper and Ever Present Help in times of need. He gives me strength to acknowledge new goals. His power works in me. I am special. A superhero. I will work for God forever. In Jesus Name, Amen

I will be putting these at the end of all my points now. Thanks for reading and God bless!

STOP HOLDING ONTO FLESH!

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.14.21.kjv We can see from this verse that a true follower of Jesus obeys his commands. But why do we find it difficult to follow Jesus? It’s because we are still holding onto flesh. We don’t want to let go, we think we can be both of God and of the flesh. But for you to work with God, the flesh must be dead. The flesh is your mind, emotions and your will. I repeat, God cannot work with you if the flesh is still alive. We cannot still hold on to the flesh. We are still sitting on the fence, not going in or out. Jesus said: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rev.3.16.kjv Let’s stop holding onto the flesh!

Put on the armour! The Armour! The Armour! The Armour of God!

' Order the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle! Harness the horses, and mount up you horsemen! Stand forth with your helmets , polish the spears, put on the armour!  - Jeremiah 46: 3-4 This verse talk about a battle. Not a battle of the physical (the seen) but a battle of the spiritual (the unseen). We need to stand up in the faith! We must defend ourselves from the enemy! "Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:8. What do we need to do to shield us from the enemy? How do we stop "the roaring lion"  from attacking us? Here's the good news! God has given us an armour! The Armour of God (or AOG for short) in Ephesians 6:14-17 talks about this armour what we should wear, do and understand! " Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readine...

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...
