Words are powerful!

"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love (understand) it will eat its fruit." - Proverbs 18:21

Our words are very powerful tools and can introduce things that may be harmful or a blessing depending on how you use them. For example, there may be a test that you have to complete and if you say 'I'll probably fail' you've given permission for Satan to start his work in your life. Soon, you'd be talking yourself out of all your future blessing! The words we use illustrate the picture of who we are in Christ we should be attentive and always reading the Bible. When we pray in tongues, we are using the Spirit's sound code to activate remarkable and unknown blessings in our lives. We can use our words either to deform ourselves, or reform our selves. God's given us freewill and we choose. Whatever word we say, will give permission for Jesus or the devil to do something harmful or blessing-filled in your life.
"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." - Ephesians 4:29. Paul is warning us about the way we use our words, and as I said before, our words 'build us up'. They form who we are, i.e a bad person or a good person. "Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin." - Proverbs 13:3, this means that if we are not careful we bring our own selves to ruin and we cannot blame God on a decision we made. "But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth." Colossians 3:8 This is another of Paul's warnings! Our words can change our future! We should aim for our future to be the best experience with God and to walk with him and to help us understand God's Word so that we can reap a harvest.
"Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!.." Our words can do powerful things which we no not yet, we can command stumbling blocks to come out of our path, in Jesus name (IJN), or restoration of all the devil has stolen in our live, IJN!

Keep on praying, your words build or destroy!

Words are powerful!

The Godly Godliness

1 Timothy 4:7 -  7  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales;  rather, train yourself to be godly.  The godliness Paul is talking about here means piety to God, a revered holiness. What do I mean? Well, on what we do we should have a holiness for him. Our clothing, people should be able to say 'this is a real Christian'. Our behaviour should also have a holiness. A fear of God. As the Bible says, the fear of God gives life. This holiness is about the things you do, how you respond to God and to the things of God. Our character influences the way we live and what we do-it's the way people determine who you are, for it is always the inner man the speaks out. They are books and magazines you shouldn't read, things you shouldn't watch and games you shouldn't play. The excuse 'it's Christian' won't work this time! Watch with your children - make sure you are sure of what they watch. Never forget who you are in Christ: His own, o...

STOP HOLDING ONTO FLESH!

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21 KJV http://bible.com/1/jhn.14.21.kjv We can see from this verse that a true follower of Jesus obeys his commands. But why do we find it difficult to follow Jesus? It’s because we are still holding onto flesh. We don’t want to let go, we think we can be both of God and of the flesh. But for you to work with God, the flesh must be dead. The flesh is your mind, emotions and your will. I repeat, God cannot work with you if the flesh is still alive. We cannot still hold on to the flesh. We are still sitting on the fence, not going in or out. Jesus said: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 KJV http://bible.com/1/rev.3.16.kjv Let’s stop holding onto the flesh!

Pondering the Bible: How can a good God allow evil?

""The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.17.9.nkjv Q:  How can a good God allow evil?  This is the question I get from many Christianity skeptics. Well, let’s think all the way back to the beginning. God gave Adam and Eve a choice. To remain in His goodness, and enjoy a peaceful, free life, or go their own way and define good and evil for yourself. We all know what happened. The point I’m trying to make is,  man chose to do evil.  If you decide to deliberately burn yourself by putting your hand in an oven, you can’t blame the cook for that. It’s the same thing!  Man chose to do evil.  Well, why can’t God get rid of evil?  Do you want to remove your existence? Well, God doesn’t. You see, if God removed evil, He would have to remove man in the process, as man is evil. But He found a way to remove evil from us without wiping us out. He sent Jesus to die for u...
