The Source Of You Heart: Jesus or Satan

"The unfolding of Your Words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple" - Psalm 119:130

Who are the simple? The simple are those who who accept God's Word with no pride, or 'if I do this..I get this'. What I mean is, some people teach and preach the Gospel because of money. Others, because of the thirst for fame. We need to unfold the Word, to understand its meaning. When we unfold God's Word we make sure that It we are obeying it and putting it into practice. To unfold God's Word, we need to:
Read His Word with uttermost seriousness, attentiveness, and with the Holy Spirit's understanding and wisdom

Pray using the Word you've read. Pray for it to come into affect in your life and/or for God's Spirit to bring to your remembance His Word.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." - John 14:6
We have no excuse for sinning after we know what is right or wrong. READ THIS AMAZING TRUTH:
"Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. 2 We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. 3 Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?" - Romans 2:1-3. I advise you read the whole book of Romans 2 as an explanation of what happens when you sin, knowing the truth. When you know the truth, it sets you free:
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." - John 8:32

Why must we go back to our old habits? We know the Truth, now we are free, we don't want to be bound. If you are enslaved by a master, you would want to be free, wouldn't you? You would not go and beg the master so that you can be his slave again, would you? Slave was our master and treated us cruelly. There is a quote that states:

Son wouldn't be so attractive if the wages were paid immediately.

The result of sin, is death (Romans 6:23). If we're sinners, our spirit is dead and we are tossed around to do things by sin. We don't blame people for their bad actions -- we blame the demon inside them. If their was an odd smell in the house would you blame the smell for the smell? No. You would find the source! That's what we need to do:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. - Luke 10:19.

God has given us power -- which should be activated -- to find sources. You can identify a Christian by their fruits. If you're not a true Christian, you don't have the correct source in you. The source should be Jesus Christ for us Christians.

Revere Christ as Lord!

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." - 1 Peter 3:15. Whenever we are being trialled or tested for our faith, we should never deny it. Take the opportunity to tell them about God. Preach to them and give them the chance to hear about God. It may work, it may not. But all you know is, you accomplished your part of the mission. You've preached to them. Now it's there decision to come to Christ. Notice the Bible says do it with GENTLENESS. We don't use violence to try and preach the Gospel. We don't force people to believe in our reality. We use one of the fruit of the spirit (See Galatians 5:22 for a full list) Now you may wonder why Peter says 'with respect' when God says: "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" - Acts 10:34.
“Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/psa.100.3.nkjv

Most Powerful

8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. (‭Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬ KJV) In this verse, David is actually having a revelation about Jesus from the Holy Ghost. Let me explain. You see- as Christians, Jesus is the one who is before us. The One we follow. He is at our right hand and protects us. And because of Him, we are not moved. The Lord is you Leader, Provider and Guide. Without him, your steps would be without guide and you would have no knowledge of the path you are taking. You would be vulnerable to Satan and he will be able to destroy you. But-thank God- he can't destroy us. Christ lives in us, the most powerful Thing ever!
